As a new Christian, it is such a relief to know that your sin has been forgiven. But it doesn’t stop there. You will want to continue to grow in your faith in Christ. Peter Jeffery suggests that in order to understand the fullness of our salvation, we must first understand what Christ has done for us.
In the Christian life, there will be obstacles to overcome. This book acknowledges this and provides clear Scriptural guidelines for helping the new believer to establish their faith.
Originally written over thirty years ago, this updated fourth edition of Walk Worthy: Guidelines for the Christian Life continues to apply Scripture’s timeless principles to today’s challenges.
Subjects covered in this helpful book include: the local church, worship, the value of the Bible, witnessing, assurance, backsliding, guidance, work, marriage, money, drugs, abortion, and peer pressure. In 140 short pages, Jeffery covers these topics briefly, including quotes from other famous Christians. The book is designed for new Christians of any age.
The author concluded the introduction to this edition with these words:
It is amazing to me that Walk Worthy was published over 30 years ago. Many things have changed in this time especially the moral standards of our nation. Unfortunately this has not left Christianity untouched and evangelical attitudes towards behavioral patterns have also changed. Thirty years ago this book was written to set out biblical standards and these standards have never changed so the reprint comes with the [prayer] that Walk Worthy might be a help to a new generation of believers in the twenty-first century.

Praise for Walk Worthy:
“In a Biblical and practical way new Christians are introduced to some of the challenges and opportunities of their new life in Christ. Short chapters use scriptural authority and comments of great Christians, together with the author’s straightforward advice, to deal with a whole range of practical issues. A handbook that should be given to every new Christian — young and old.” ~ Brian H. Edwards, author and itinerant teacher based in London
“I am thankful to God that Peter Jeffery’s WALK WORTHY is back in print. I have used it for more than 15 years with great profit to many, beginning with my own teenagers. I wish I had this book when I was converted in college. When the new birth changes your life, so many things need to be re-thought and re-evaluated…. These and many more issues are addressed which any young Christian of any age will have to deal with, sooner or later. I plan to use it with all our converts and young, growing Christians.” ~ Steve Martin, pastor, Heritage Church, Fayetteville, Georgia
